Here is the job we completed at Whybridge Junior school in Hornchurch, Essex. We sanded and restored 3 different parquet floors at this school. We sanded 2 halls and a classroom. The above pictures are a before and after of a pitch pine parquet floor in the smaller hall of the two that we sanded. As you can see from the images the difference floor sanding can make to a school hall floor.
Above is the images of the larger hall we refurbished for the school. This was a maple parquet floor that had dirt ingrained into the wood. Sanding the floor back to bare wood was essential for this floor in order to remove the dirt from the wood.
The above images are of the classroom that we sanded and sealed at the school. This floor was absolutely beautiful after we had sanded it back to bare wood and finished it. This floor had suffered from years of sealing with old lacquers and also the dirt not being fully removed from the floor prior to the re application of new seal.
We applied 1 coat of Junckers Prelak to the floor followed by 2 coats of Junckers HP Commercial. Now these floor look lovely and with the correct floor maintenance and cleaning regime, will last for many years to come.
